Singapore Hangover
Singapore is the cleanest country I've ever been. Perhaps the reason is it is just a small island and people are really taking part on making their country clean. Their public transportation; MRT (train), buses and taxi cabs are all clean. Inside their airport is full of fragrant colorful flowers and a huge variety of exotic plants all over.
Singapore's form of government is somewhat confusing, depending on which part of the world you came from. They said it is democratic, but some said it is leaning closer to authoritarianism. They do not have natural resources, no gas, no
oil of its own, they are getting their potable water supply from their neighboring
country Malaysia. Yet they thrive and they are one of the richest
countries in Asia.
Singaporeans are nice
people and they will try their best to speak your language to make you feel
welcome. It was a very good surprising experience. I’ve been to Singapore a few times both business and
pleasure. I'd love to go back and explore the island some more. There are countless of things to do in Singapore, not just
shopping, dining, pampering, indulging, but endless outdoor adventures. It seems like on each visit it offers you more and the excitement level is higher. You won't get tired of Singapore.
Tips on where to go from my experience:
Check out the Night Safari, it was really the best adventure where you can really experience the thrill, the feel and the sound of being in a jungle at night with those wild animals, either aboard a tram or by walking.
Sentosa Park is really great too, the Merlion and Merlion walk. Standing at 37 meters high, this half-lion, half-fish creature brings you to the depth of the sea as you walk side-by-side with legendary sea dragons and mythical mermaids. Don’t forget to experience a cable car ride from one mountain to another mountain, it was an exhilarating experience. Take the glass cabin so you can take full advantage of the coastal sights and lush greenery all around you.
Also in Sentosa, Underwater World Oceanarium home to more than 2,500 fishes. Best experience underwater. You will be ferried by a moving travellator while venturing into the ocean depths.
If you love bird watching, you have to go to Jurong Bird Park, an experience of a lifetime too.
Don’t forget to check out Boat Quay and Clarke Quay at night, if you love alfresco dining by the river, this is the perfect spot for you with live music and numerous restaurants to choose from. Try these cuisines, Singapore style chili crab, huge dungeness crab with spicy sauce, Singaporean spicy noodles, chicken rice and satay. Only in Singapore.
If you are in the mood of fine dining, gourmet food paired with international wine selections and perfect service, check out the Top of the M restaurant (Chatterbox) which is situated on the 39th floor of Meritus Mandarin Hotel, by Orchard Road, this is a revolving restaurant that will give you a spectacular 360 degree view of the city and the marina.
Walk by Orchard Road, nice, pristine and shopping centers everywhere! This is the central shopping area in Singapore. For the best bargain price try the Tanglin Mall, inside the Tanglin Shopping Centre.
Singapore is a country that offers a lot to tourists.
